  • Vadnais Heights clinic to open fall 2013
    11/6/2012

Aspen Medical Group, part of Allina Health, broke ground on its new Vadnais Heights clinic at noon on Nov. 1, 2012. The new clinic will be located at the intersection of County Road E and Labore Road, Vadnais Heights. It will be co-located with a new Urgency Room operated by Emergency Physicians Professional Association (EPPA).

The new clinic will replace the current Aspen clinic in nearby White Bear Lake. At 20,000 square feet, the new clinic will nearly triple the space of the White Bear Lake clinic, providing for an increase from 4 providers to an expected 15 providers by the end of 2013. Along with an increase of family practice and internal medicine physicians, new services and specialties will be offered, including audiology, podiatry and otolaryngology.  Mental health services are also expected to be added in the future.

The new facility is expected to open in fall 2013.

The Aspen clinic co-location with EPPA's new Urgency Room (UR) will provide patients with a more connected continuum of care. UR patients will have the opportunity to access the Allina Health care navigation system and the Allina system of clinics. In addition, the Aspen clinic and EPPA UR will share resources, such as imaging devices, providing greater efficiencies.

"This new clinic location will allow us to add primary care physicians and specialty services so access to medical care will be improved for the community,” said Bob Wieland, MD, executive vice president, Allina Health Clinic and Community Division. "We are excited to be co-located with EPPA’s Urgency Room.  The UR is an innovative concept that provides emergency medical care by board-certified emergency physicians in a more efficient and less costly way.”
